I did some shopping at Jabong.com sometime ago, which requires signing up for an account just like other online stores, so I created an account there. While placing the order, it asked me to add a mobile number to get SMS confirmation of the order. I added my number.

After successfully placing the order, I received that confirmation text on my mobile within a few minutes. But a few hours later, I received couple of promotional SMSs from the Jabong. I didn’t expected this, but it was okay to me, as everyone does this marketing stuff nowadays. It is okay till it becomes irritating.

Jabong.com

Jabong, unlike Myntra, sends you SMS on a weekly basis, (sometimes 2-3 texts a week), but still many people look to block such promotional messages, so here is how to do that.

Block Jabong Promotional SMS alerts

Jabong no longer provides support at sites like getsatisfaction.com, so you are left with contacting their official support only.

Just drop them an email on: care [at] jabong[dot]com regarding removing the SMS subscription. Put “Please unsubscribe me from SMS promotions“, and do mention your mobile number in the email body.

After the email being sent, you will soon be contacted by the Jabong support notifying your number been removed from the promotional subscriptions. And that’s what you wanted!

In case if you are not getting any response from their email care, just send them a tweet at @JabongIndia complaining about the issue you are facing. I’m pretty sure you’ll be helped immediately.
